The real facts of life

I am a nonbeliever, I always have been, even before I knew the words to say it. I am a rebel, a reject, an annoying standout from the throng. I never fit in I never wanted to fit in. I searched for love in my weaker moments but recognized the fiction of that emotion upon waking from my day dreams. I live not because I have a choice, I never did, that's important, I live because this body rejects its own termination so violently that it's the most violent repulsive force in nature after magnetism. A lust for life is a fools errand, the intelligent suffer it, mitigate it's worst effects and believe in nothing they do not observe first hand. There is no mystery to life and consciousness, they are mere accidents, mutations piled on mutations going towards an inevitable devastating end, the mutant human brain which convinces us of our own self importance and gives us this indefatigable drive to pursue meaning. I have news for all of you: there is no meaning to find, welcome to the primordial soup, we are mere croutons with a brain!
